Christmas 2015
As is always the case at this time of year, "Mouldy Old Dough" is picking up lots of air plays. What a pity some of the other Lt Pigeon tracks do not receive similar attention.

The latest track the boys have recorded is called "Skiffle Beat In Old King Street" and, coincidentally, has a distinct 'Chritmassy' feel! It's possibly the most catchy instrumental the boys have come up with since the big hits in the early 1970s. It can be downloaded for under a pound on our Downloads page so don't miss it.

Meanwhile, I hope all of you have a very Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

All the best Bill B.

Autumn 2015
Good news! The boys have been back in the studio experimenting with the 'chop' sound they first used on 'Ghost Express'. This has resulted in the 'Elephant Waltz' which is now available on the Downloads page. For such experimental sessions as these they record under the name "The Binj'd Rinkas". I hope to announce more recordings before Christmas.

Top rugby union club 'Wasps' have relocated to the RICOH stadium in Coventry and they are anxious to find ways to identify themselves with their new fan base. Rob and Nigel have recorded a chant for them incorporating the drum intro from 'Mouldy Old Dough'. Summer 2015
One last CD! Yes reluctantly the boys will not be making any more CDs after this one. From here on in it will be downloads only. As we've said before 'hard' copies are no longer viable at this level of sales. However, enjoy one last CD blast from Stavely Makepeace with "Time Marches On", which will be released on July 1st 2015.

On June 10th Nige went along to the studios of BBC Coventry & Warwickshire Radio to talk about the new single with local presenter Vic Minett. Hear what they said by clicking the media player below..

P.S.... and this is what the media says

Whitsun 2015
It’s been quite some time since I issued a newsletter but that’s been due mainly to lack of ‘action’ here at Makepeace Music. However, some good news. Rob and Nigel have decided to release one more CD before concentrating fully on just downloads. It seemed fitting that the very last CD should be a Stavely Makepeace track so the boys have remixed the wonderful “Time Marches On”, adding backing vocals on the way. They have now come up with this superb recording. It will be released on July 1st and will feature 3 accompanying tracks—real value for money!

Whilst I am writing I’d like to thank all of you who have continued to support our Downloads page. Sales this year have already reached the figure they did for the whole of 2014! I will push the boys to scout round their archives to see if they have any more ‘undiscovered’ tracks to add to the list.

All for now, Bye Bill B.
